1. How can I find out about upcoming workshops?
Workshops are offered on request. Find a group of teachers who are interested in the program you want and contact us about coming to your school. If you are unable to get a group of teachers together, you can check our upcoming workshop schedule to see if the program you are interested in is coming soon in your area and contact us to confirm your attendance.
2. How long are workshops?
Each workshop is just one hour. You will become familiar with the program presented, gain nutrition knowledge, and be ready to start teaching—even the very next day. Workshops are led by registered dietitians.
3. Where are workshops held?
At your school! Workshops can be held anywhere in BC, as long as there is a group of interested teachers.
4. When are workshops held?
At your convenience! Most workshops are offered after school. Professional days are also popular times for holding workshops.

You can download and post one of the following:

- A one page summary of all our secondary workshops
6. How much do workshops cost?
Workshops are free of charge with no obligation to purchase materials. Program materials are only available to teachers who have taken the workshop. Costs for program materials vary—look for more details in the description for the program you are interested in.
7. Why do I need to take a workshop?
Program materials are offered at highly subsidized rates. We want to make sure these materials are used well. Our experience shows that workshops save teachers the time it takes to get familiar with the program.
8. Once I have taken a workshop, am I eligible to use any of your school programs?
Programs are grade-specific and workshops are program-specific. For example, if you took a workshop for Food Explorers (K-1) and are now teaching grade 2, you will need to take a Food for Us (2-3) workshop to become eligible to purchase the Food for Us teacher kit.
