The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience Wraps Up the Season

2013 has been a busy and successful year for the Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience.

This year the Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience was able to visit 114 schools, 18 summer camps and 36 events across BC. Some of our highlights include: Flavours of Surrey, Interior Provincial Exhibition, City Farm Fest at Science World and our Summer and Fall tour to the Okanagan and Vancouver Island. At selected events, visitors were also able to milk our life-sized fibre glass cow Delilah.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience brings the farm to the city. Presentations include interesting facts about cows, milk and the dairy industry in BC. Equipped with a milking machine, the Moo Crew conducts live milking and calf feeding demonstrations in order to raise awareness about BC’s dairy industry.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience would like to thank the BC Dairy Producers for supplying the 2 cows and calf, as well as for their generous support of the program. Through the kind contributions of the BC Dairy Producers, the Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience is able to encourage education about local agriculture.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience would also like to thank event staff and teachers for inviting the Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience to visit their community events and schools. The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience was able to bring the unique experience to kids and families all across BC.

The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience will be closed from mid-November until March 1st. During this time, schools and events are welcome to send in their request for the 2014 spring season.
