Chocolate Milk Beats Coke!

UBC’s annual Storm the Wall event saw fierce competition this year

UBC’s annual Storm the Wall event saw fierce competition this year and the sponsor VIP Challenge was no exception. BC Dairy Foundation (BCDF), as an active sponsor of the event, entered their office team to compete for the fourth year running. This year, the BCDF team set their sights on besting Coca Cola in the mini team-triathlon. The triathlon consists of swimming, sprinting, cycling, running and a team hurdle over a 12 ft wall. That might not sound like an easy feat but the team was “Powered by Chocolate Milk”, giving them an edge in the race to beat out the Coca Cola team to come in 2nd place. All in good fun, the teams congratulated each other after the race. The other competitors were Freedom 55 and Save-On Foods, with Freedom 55 winning the event.

“I was looking forward to having some chocolate milk after the race…I haven’t really trained and I just had to wait at the wall for the rest of the team to race…then pull me over. I love chocolate milk” says Catherine Green of the BCDF team.

Team photographer, Steve Tan, stated that “It was great to see them work for a change…  I mean, to see the team-work and commitment to the competition”.
