2021 BC Dairy Industry Conference and AGMs postponed due to flood emergency.

Unprecedented flooding in BC has created severe challenges for dairy farmers throughout the province. The impacts are widespread for all types of farms as well as other businesses and our neighbours.

As the entire community focuses on the relief effort, the BC Milk Marketing Board and BC Dairy Association have decided to postpone their AGMs along with the 2021 BC Dairy Industry Conference.

All confirmed registrants and sponsors will be notified as soon as more information is available about new dates, rebooking rooms and/or issuing refunds if required. We will be in touch by email as soon as possible.

About the BC Dairy Industry Conference

The 2021 BC Dairy Industry Conference is a two-day event organized by BC Dairy and the BC Milk Marketing Board. The highly anticipated annual event will bring dairy producers, industry affiliates, and stakeholders together to discuss emerging and critical issues in the dairy business. Through networking, presentations by experts, and participation in our organizations’ annual meetings, attendees will gain new industry knowledge and most importantly, renewed connections with peers and business partners.

The BC Dairy Industry Conference has grown consistently over the years, with over 500 in attendance in 2019, including representation from over 100 dairy farms from across the province.

The 2021 program will include the Annual General Meetings of the BC Milk Marketing Board, BC Dairy Association and Dairy Industry Development Council. It will also include the BC Milk Marketing Board’s Fall Industry Meeting, and updates on national dairy issues from the Dairy Farmers of Canada.

This year, the conference will be held in-person in Vancouver, but all presentations and meeting portions of the agenda will also be available to attend virtually.

Currently, British Columbia is in stage three of the COVID-19 restart plan. During stage three, the BC Dairy Industry Conference is restricted to a maximum of 300 in-person capacity.  By order of the BC Provincial Health Officer (PHO), proof of vaccination will be required to attend.

Registration on hold until further notice.
