BC Dairy actively funds research projects that will support enhanced knowledge and innovation for the advancement of the dairy industry. Our funding priorities include BC dairy industry sustainability, productivity, profitability, animal health and welfare, technological innovation, and youth and industry development. This page will be updated when a future research proposal intake is announced.

Letters of support.

BC Dairy is pleased to provide letters of support to demonstrate industry backing for work in our priority research areas or emerging issues. If you are applying to an external funding body and would like your proposal reviewed for industry support (without requesting funding from BC Dairy), please use the form linked below to submit your request. 

Requests are reviewed on an on-going basis, but must be received at least four weeks ahead of the funding submission deadline. Please contact innovation@bcdairy.ca with any questions.

Educational event funding.

BC Dairy will support knowledge transfer initiatives through trusted service providers and universities to deliver new, relevant information to the dairy farming community. We know that hearing straight from experts through producers’ most trusted communication channels is the best way to encourage event attendance and information uptake.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but must be received at least 8 weeks from the planned event date. This page will be updated when a future intake is announced.

Student scholarships.

BC Dairy offers up to four scholarship awards ($2,500/year each) to students studying agriculture or related subjects including animal or food science, sustainability, business management, marketing, animal health and welfare, et cetera, at any accredited post-secondary institution.

The objective of these scholarships is to facilitate, encourage, and financially support individuals whose educational studies, projects, and programs have been identified by BC Dairy to benefit the BC Dairy Industry. This page will be updated when a future intake is announced.
