The Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience has just returned from a week-long trip of school visits in Victoria from November 5 to 9!
Through live milking demonstrations and calf feedings, we taught students about the importance of milk in a healthy, balanced diet, and how milk gets from the cow to the kitchen table. The trip was a great success, and we connected with over 2,500 students at 10 different schools! This was the third trip the Mobile Dairy Classroom Experience has taken to do school visits outside the Lower Mainland.
We would like to thank dairy farmer Dave Aylard, of Brackenhurt Farm in Sidney, for his help and contribution by providing us with cows, Sara and Spiel, and calf, Skippy.
