Latte:
1 1/2 cups (375 mL) Canadian 2% milk
1 tsp (5 g) gingerbread spice
1 tsp (5 mL) maple syrup
1/4 cup (60 mL) prepared espresso, hot
Garnish:
1/4 cup (60 mL) whipped cream
Gingerbread spice, to taste
Gingerbread cookie (optional)
Directions
In a small pot, over medium heat, add milk, gingerbread spice, and maple syrup.
Whisk the mixture for about 3 minutes until it becomes frothy. Set aside.
Pour the espresso into a mug, then top it with the frothed milk mixture.
Garnish with whipped cream, a dash of gingerbread spice, and a small gingerbread cookie, if desired.
Tips
Don’t have gingerbread spice?
Combine 1/2 tsp of each cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove, cardamom and all spice.
