More than 500 Slow Food Vancouver cyclists and others of all ages visited the UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre on July 27th. The Cycle Tour in Agassiz is part of the Vancouver Slow Food movement which encourages people to buy locally produced food.

After they received a cold chocolate milk, visitors listened to students from UBC’s Applied Animal Biology, Civil Engineering and Human Nutrition Programs present their dairy related research findings. Some visitors stayed almost two hours and all the cyclist certainly now know where their milk comes from!
