Little Food Explorers is a program that helps toddlers and pre-schoolers develop positive feelings about food and eating. Eating a wide variety of foods is a part of eating well, but young children are often unsure about trying new foods. At this age children are still learning to be comfortable with new foods and it can take many exposures – as many as ten to fifteen or more – until the food feels familiar enough for them to be comfortable trying it.
Little Food Explorers is a guided exploration for 4 different foods and offers a fun, structured approach to exploring foods with young children as they learn how to become familiar with new foods.
Little Food Explorers provide Early Childhood Educators with a guided exploration of four foods (beans, apples, oats, and milk) through a program guide, recipes, picture books, and parent resources.
