Give high school culinary students amazing BC cheeses and see what they can create.
For the third year, BC Dairy Association (BCDA) provided BC cheeses and BC milk to 37 secondary teaching kitchens participating in the Take a Bite of BC program from BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation.
Thanks to BCDA support, students get introduced to amazing BC dairy products and learn about the benefits of eating healthy, fresh and local.
This year, students were very excited to prepare creative dishes using the following BC cheeses:
- Nostrala from Kootenay Alpine Cheese Co. in Creston
- Alpine Gold and Farm House Camembert from The Farmhouse Natural Cheeses in Agassiz
- Cumin Gouda and fresh cheddar curds from Golden Ears Cheesecrafters Ltd. in Maple Ridge
We look forward to supporting Take a Bite of BC again next year.
