Ingredients
1 cup (250 mL) water
1 cup (250 mL) whole or 2% milk
2-3 Tbsp (30-25 mL) sugar (depending on how sweet you would like it)
1-3 cardamom pods
2 cloves
1-2 inch cinnamon stick
1 tea bag (preferably orange pekoe)
Directions
Using a spice masher or end of a rolling pin, mash cardamom, cloves and cinnamon into a bowl and add this mixture into a pot with water, tea bag and sugar. Bring to a boil.
Once the pot is boiling, add the milk. Allow tea to come to a boil again and remove from the heat.
Using a tea strainer, pour your chai into 2 mugs. Enjoy!
