Indian Inspired Hot Egg Sandwich

Traditional hot egg sandwich infused with Indian spices


  • Fry Pan
  • Knife
  • Measuring Spoons
  • Wooden Spoon


  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) chopped white onion
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
  • 1/2 (2 mL) cumin seeds
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) ghee or cooking oil


Warm ghee or cooking oil in a pan on medium heat. Add chopped white onion to pan with cumin seeds, salt and pepper. Allow to sauté on medium heat until slightly brown. Crack 2 eggs into mixture and scramble with a wooden spoon. Add mixture to two pieces of toasted bread. Cut in half and enjoy!
