Make Your Own Pumpkin Purée

Don’t let your Halloween pumpkin go to waste–use it to make pumpkin purée.

Halloween has come and gone and, if you’re anything like us, you have a bowl of empty candy wrappers and a porch full of pumpkins.
If those pumpkins weren’t transformed into terrifying jack-o-lanterns, why not follow these steps to make Pumpkin Purée and then use it in a Pumpkin Pie?  If the pumpkins were carved, composting is both the most environmentally friendly and the safest way to dispose of them.
