  1. Cheese, especially aged cheese, consumed after eating sugary foods, prevents the formation of an acidic environment that can wear away teeth. 
  2. Milk products are an easy and rich source of calcium and vitamin D. A diet with adequate amounts of calcium and vitamin D prevents gum disease and protects against tooth loss.  
  3. Because flavoured milk (such as chocolate milk) is a liquid, it doesn't stay in the mouth very long or stick to teeth. It is therefore less likely to cause cavities than sticky or chewy sweet foods. The cocoa and milk in chocolate milk also help prevent cavities. 


In the best interest of dental health, regular brushing and flossing are strongly recommended.
