Salmonella Dublin:  A Really Good Reason to Practice Biosecurity—Dr. John Dick

This video is password protected. All webinar videos have the same password, which was emailed to dairy producers in BC in December 2022. If you would like access to these videos and you are a dairy producer, please email innovation@bcdairy.ca, including your name, farm name, and province.

In the last 5 years Salmonella Dublin has been diagnosed on multiple farms for the first time and it is expected there are more herds where it is undiagnosed.  Dairy producers should all be aware of Salmonella Dublin as an emerging disease.

Dr. John Dick is a dairy practitioner with over 20 years of experience working in the BC dairy industry. He has been an integral part of the BC Salmonella Dublin Investigation and Management Program alongside Dr. Boyd as clinical advisor to the research group,  bringing the producer and on-farm dairy veterinarian perspectives to the program.
