Lactanet Canada donates $25,000 to the BC dairy community for flood recovery and employees top it off with an additional $8,000 contribution.

To help dairy farmers in British Columbia bounce back from the tragic November floods, Lactanet Canada recently donated $25,000 to the BC Dairy Emergency Recovery Fund held by BC Dairy, who will identify immediate needs and facilitate funding.

Local milk processing company provides financial support for dairy farmers flood relief

Vitalus Nutrition Inc., an Abbotsford based company that processes raw milk into specialized dairy ingredients, has donated $100,000 to the BC Dairy Association Flood Relief Fund. The money will go directly to help Fraser Valley dairy farmers rebuild after devastating floods damaged their properties, equipment and homes with significant loss of livestock.

Thrust into the middle of the unprecedented floods in BC, WestGen has felt first-hand the devastation, but have also benefitted first-hand from the surrounding farming community’s heroic efforts to assist us in evacuating animals from our barn; and thereafter have been in a position to return that support to other farmers in need.
