Grilled chicken and feta naan pizza with garlic cream sauce

Garlic cream sauce

  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (250 mL) 10% half-and-half cream
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) chopped, fresh parsley
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper

Naan pizza

  • 5 plain, traditional naans
  • 3 cups (750 mL) chopped or shredded grilled or cooked chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) shredded mozzarella
  • 3/4 cup (175 mL) crumbled cow’s milk feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) chopped, fresh parsley or mint Hot pepper flakes (optional)


  1. Garlic cream sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute to soften. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Whisk in cream and cook, whisking for about 3 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in parsley, salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat grill to medium heat. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Spread garlic cream sauce on each naan. Top with chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella and feta cheese. Transfer naan pizzas to grill; close lid for about 5 minutes or until naan is slightly crisp and golden and cheeses are melted. Sprinkle with parsley and hot pepper flakes (if using) before serving.


You can also make this pizza in the oven! Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and bake on the middle rack for 10-12 minutes or until the crust is browned and the cheese is bubbling and golden.
